The BALATON-KER- TÉSZ Vegetable and Fruit Product Sales Cooperative was established on 18.02.2003 with the name KER-TÉSZ COOPERATIVE by the union of the fruit-farmers of the Somogy region. The major part of the founders has dealt with the production of modern small fruits. Among their main purposes there were uniform sales and the concentration of the goods quantity.

The previous recognition was acquired by the cooperative on August 13, 2003 and it was registered as 37 th TÉSZ (production and sales cooperative). Since their foundation they operate with continuously increasing membership and increasing goods quantity on the area of Transdanubia. In 2004 we were succeeded to integrate the cooperatives SOMOGY-TÉSZ and BALATON-TÉSZ operating in the comitat, then in 2007 the DANUBIA FRUCT Cooperative and several smaller producers have joined from Comitat Tolna.

In 2011 DALMO-TÉSZ and 90 producers from Comitat Zala have joined us as well. Hereby the number of our members has increased to 305 Persons and the size of the fruit producing area belonging to TÉSZ is near to 3000 hectares.

Our operation was established in affiliate system due to the big geographic distances and in order to allow that the existing cooling houses can further operate according to their function and further ensure the serving of the members of the region. So the fruit can be stored and sold with the smallest possible transport costs and without transport loss.

Our sites play a central role among the fruit-farmers of the certain region.
